What is ionized water?
Ionized water is alkaline, hydrogen-rich water produced through electrolysis by Enagic's water ionizer machines, made by a Japanese company with over 50 years of manufacturing history. The honest FAQ
What does ionized water taste like?
Most people describe it as noticeably smoother and cleaner than tap water. The electrolysis process removes chlorine and other impurities while infusing molecular hydrogen, leaving water that tastes fresh and is easy to drink throughout the day.
Is this the same as the alkaline water at the store?
No. Most store-bought alkaline water simply has minerals added to raise the pH. Ionized water is created through electrolysis, which separates the water into alkaline and acidic streams and infuses it with molecular hydrogen, something you cannot replicate by adding minerals. The negative ORP of freshly ionized water is also something bottled water cannot hold onto over time.
Is it the same as hydrogen water?
It is hydrogen-rich water. When tap water passes through the titanium electrode plates during electrolysis, molecular hydrogen is infused into the water. Many people who want hydrogen water choose an ionizer because the water is made fresh at home on demand, instead of from a pre-packaged bottle that may have lost its hydrogen before you open it.
Why does the K8 cost thousands of dollars?
Two reasons. It is a genuinely well-built machine, medical-grade platinum-coated plates and a service life measured in decades, not years. And yes, the price also includes distributor commissions. We will not pretend otherwise. What you get in exchange is a person, Lilibeth, who answers her phone after you buy.
Is this one of those pyramid things?
Enagic is a Japanese manufacturer founded in 1974 that sells through independent distributors instead of stores, and distributors earn commission on sales. There are no monthly fees, no inventory to buy, and nobody earns a dime unless a real product ships to a real customer. If you just want the machine, buy the machine and enjoy it. That is most people.
Is it a scam?
No. Enagic holds ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001 certifications, and its ionizers are classified as medical devices by Japan's Ministry of Health and used in Japanese hospitals. Can't I just buy this on Amazon?
Please do not. Enagic machines are sold only through authorized distributors and the official e-store, never through Amazon or other marketplaces. Any Enagic ionizer you see on Amazon is an unauthorized third-party listing: often used, refurbished, or a grey-market import with no verifiable history, and the factory warranty is void because the sale broke Enagic policy. The listing being up does not make it legitimate. Buy once, buy real.
Where does my purchase actually happen?
On the official Enagic e-store, not on this page. This site exists so your purchase is registered with Lilibeth as your distributor. Your payment, warranty, financing, and shipping all go through Enagic directly.
